Broadmeadow Families,
Yesterday, our amazing kindergarteners led their first all-school meeting. They focused on resiliency and did an amazing job. It is always a proud day for all the kids and teachers to see our youngest learners take on a leadership role for the school.
I am disappointed to even have to send this message but we continue to see a shockingly high amount of bathroom vandalism. This year we have dealt with graffiti on the walls, purposefully clogged toilets, and messages etched into surfaces. This has happened in both the boys and girls rooms, as well as the all-inclusive bathroom. This behavior shows a tremendous amount of disrespect to our school community and particularly our custodial team. We have increased supervision and keep clear records of bathroom visits but it is not a single child and it has certainly not been a single incident. Please reiterate to your child your expectations for respect even when they’re not being supervised and your expectation that they tell an adult if they witness a student doing this.
We hope you have a wonderful April Break and we’ll see you for the final stretch when we return.
Do good. Be kind.
